Perséphone

The electric duo was born in Bar-le-Duc (France) from a friendship and a shared passion for electronic music between his two members. Called Barlou Basterds in their early days, they made their debut as DJs during secondary school, before moving to Nancy in 2010, where they started to produce their firsts tracks. Their have first made a name of themselves with their crunchy remix of Gorillaz - 5/4 and their synth pop version of Georges Michael ft. Mary J. Blige – As. Later, in 2014, they have released a single called “Retro Funky”, famous for the wicked remix from their friends Sundance. After that, they kept doing remixes, mixtapes and a lot of DJ sets in several emblematic places of Nancy. In 2018, they released “Fantôme” (produced by Reno), a five-track EP covering different aspects of Perséphone’s touch: stellar synths, guitars and pads and a featuring with the rapper Y.I.B in the extra-terrestrial hip-hop track More Loud. As of today, the duo is working on music and video productions for a forthcoming release.
